Young Indian boxing Champ Akhil knocked out the former 2007 world champion Sergei Vodopyanov of Russia to enter the quarter-finals of the bantamweight (54kg) in the Olympics 2008. both the player's points were tied in the last round and later the judges announced Akhil as the winner in the account of total punches. Which was a shock to the russian world champ.
This Young champ is aiming for Gold. His next match is on Monday.
India have two more Boxers in queue Vijender Kumar in the 75kg category and Jitender Kumar in the 51kg category.Their pre-quarter bouts are on Saturday.
Lets cheer these indians. Dream of two golds in olympics may come true for India in next few days... ha ha ha
